MINT™ stands for Minimally Invasive Non-surgical Thread. It is a unique absorbable

thread designed to approximate and fixate sagging tissues. The thread is made from a complex

sugar polydioxanone or PDO - a safe suture material that has been used in orthopedic and

cardiovascular surgeries for over 30 years. Treatments involve minimal pain and minimal

1. Please do not drink alcohol for 1-2 days prior to the procedure.
2. Please do not smoke 1-2 weeks before and 1-2 weeks after the procedure.
3. Please discontinue the use of blood thinners 2-3 days before the procedure. If
   patient is taking Warfarin®, it is recommended to stop taking it 5 days prior to the procedure. Please consult with your prescribing physician before discontinuing your blood thinners.

1. Patient may go back to everyday life (i.e. eating, walking, etc.) right after the procedure.
2. Swelling may be present after the procedure but the use of ice packs for 30 minutes for a few days will help lessen the swelling.
3. Patient should avoid washing hair and taking a shower for the next 24 hours after the procedure. When washing face after 24 hours, gently wash the area.
4. Patient should avoid drinking or smoking for 1-2 weeks to prevent possible infection. Smoking and drinking can slow down the healing process.
5. Patient should avoid aggressive or prolonged chewing, wide yawns, and big smiles for up to 1 month.
6. Patient should avoid lying down either in a prone or side position within 4 hours after the procedure to decrease the possibility of the movements of threads. It is recommended that the patient sleeps in a supine position for the next 3-5 days to prevent the movement of threads.

MINT™ PDO threads are designed with a unique patented technology that can help

enhance your features. There are tiny barbs strategically placed and molded all around the

thread. Once the threads are placed into the skin, the barbs anchor onto sagging skin and the
