Do your wrinkles make you look older than you are? As skin becomes less elastic over time, repeated facial expressions create visible lines and wrinkles in the forehead, frown lines, and around the eyes. Botox® is a purified protein that temporarily relaxes the muscles that cause these wrinkles to form and prevents the formation of new ones. This procedure takes only minutes and within days you will see a marked improvement. To maintain your youthful appearance, two to three follow-up treatments are recommended throughout the year. What are the side effects of BOTOX?

The side effects of BOTOX treatments are minimal.

While no long-term side effects have been observed, slight bruising, headaches, temporary eyelid droop and flu-like symptoms can occur, but tend to go away within a few days.

How long will the BOTOX effect last?

If BOTOX is applied correctly, it can last up to 3-4 months.

I tried BOTOX, but experienced disappointing results. Why?

Disappointing treatment results can have a variety of reasons:

  • A small percentage of men and women do not respond to BOTOX treatments.
  • Some people start to build antibodies against BOTOX as a reaction to their treatments. These people may experience limited results.
  • The BOTOX treatment was not administered correctly
  • The BOTOX administered was not diluted according to manufacturer's recommendations. Discuss your disappointing results with an experienced BOTOX physician.
